All NOVO DR systems are equipped with NOVO Touch Pro software, designed for field use on rugged tablets. The intuitive interface integrates advanced analysis tools that accelerate NDT workflows and reduce processing time.

The GENIE algorithm performs automatic radiographic image enhancement with a single touch. The current version is 4x faster than the previous generation.

Auto Wall Thickness Tool
Fast, automatic wall thickness measurement with no manual input required. The system identifies and calculates wall thickness values directly on the acquired image.

Automatic Basic Spatial Resolution (SRb)
Automatic SRb detection on the region of interest selected by the operator. Eliminates manual calculation and reduces compliance verification time.

Merge multiple images for extended component inspection. Available in automatic mode (maximum speed) or manual mode (maximum operator control).

DWT — Double Wall Thickness

NOVO DR state of the art digital radiography flat panel detectors allow shorter exposure and lower dose usage, compared to other technologies, and thus smaller area closure and increased productivity. The system is lightweight, thin, wireless and easy to carry so it can fit in the tightest of spaces and yet boasts outstanding image quality in all weather conditions. Typical welds inspections include detection of cracks, lack of fusion, corrosion, porosity and slag lines.

NOVO DR Touch Professional Software offers intuitive operation for capturing X-ray images, powerful enhancing, annotating, and tools to comply with international standards such as Line Profile, Image Statistics, Wall Thickness and Crack Measurement, archiving and sharing information. It also offers control hardware features such as illumination, switch from wired to wireless communication, activate a variety of X-ray sources and much more.

NOVO-DR is available in three main configurations, each optimised for different operational scenarios and mobility requirements:

Discovery III (Top-of-the-line)
Complete system in rugged Pelican case. 21.5″ 1500 NIT sun-readable NOVO Bright XL tablet. Supports all detectors (10BN/18BN/12SFN/12HRN/15WN/22WN). MIL-DTL-38999 connectors. Wireless Mesh III included. Ideal for complex industrial inspections and multi-operator setups.

Shadow III (Ultra-compact)
Complete system from ~4 kg in a single backpack. NOVO 12SFN detector (only 1.2 kg). Imaging just 3 mm from bottom and side edge. Android smartphone or Windows tablet operation. AED mode (no tablet required). Ideal for confined spaces and restricted access.

Ultimate III (Large format backpack)
Large format backpack system with detectors up to 22WN. NOVO Bright S 10″ 1500 NIT tablet. 50 m lightweight cable on reel. Supports 10BN/12HRN/15WN/22WN detectors. Wireless Mesh III included. Ideal for large component inspections.

 

X-Ray & Gamma Sources

NOVO-DR systems are designed to operate perfectly with Isotopes (e.g. Iridium-192, Selenium-75), Industrial Constant Potential Sources and the entire range of Golden Engineering battery operated pulses X-ray sources.
With NOVO DR wired or wireless operation, safety distance is easily obtained. Due to much higher detection sensitivity (compared to film and CR), reduced energy doses increase safety, improve productivity, prolong tube life and enable Isotopes usage even at very low curie.
The combination of state of the art 16 bit detectors, innovative electronics and smart so ware, enables the system to utilize the energy to its fullest potential while producing the highest image quality available.

Tablets

NOVO offers two rugged MIL-STD810G, IP65 Panasonic Toughpad Tablets: the G1 10” Tablet and the M1 7” Tablet. For large display, choose the DELL XPS18 18.4” Full HD Tablet (1920 x 1080) or the Panasonic Toughpad 4K – A revolutionary 20” 4K Display (3840 x 2560 Pixels). All tablets can be operated from the case or quickly removed and used hand-held.
