    GENERALITY
Structural monitoring has in recent years become increasingly important for the diagnosis and control of buildings.
When the cracking pattern of a structure is evolving, it is necessary to prepare appropriate monitoring with deformometric analyzes of the active movements and of the rotations to delineate the origin, the entity and the evolutionary laws of the phenomenon, in order to define the type of intervention and to control the results. This monitoring, in order to purify the readings from the possible influence of the daily or seasonal variations in temperature, should extend for at least 18 months.
