      • News,

Following the introduction of the Raptor GPR Array, Novatest now brings the complete CrossOver series to the Italian market: wireless dual-channel GPR systems designed for professional subsurface investigations, from urban infrastructure surveys to deep geological exploration.

As the official ImpulseRadar distributor in Italy, Novatest S.r.l. has expanded its commercial partnership—formalized in June 2026—to include the entire CrossOver product line: three models, six operating frequencies and a single technology platform capable of covering virtually all professional GPR applications.

One Antenna, Two Simultaneous Frequencies

The concept behind the CrossOver series is straightforward yet unique: each antenna integrates two independent frequency channels that collect data simultaneously along the same survey line. No second pass, no antenna replacement and no compromise between resolution and depth of investigation.

This performance is made possible by Real-Time Sampling (RTS) technology, delivering a signal-to-noise ratio exceeding 100 dB and a bandwidth greater than 120%—performance levels beyond those of conventional GPR systems.

The Three Models: Choosing the Right Solution

CO4080 — 400 + 800 MHz

The most compact model (6.35 kg, 444 × 355 × 194 mm), ideal for high-resolution inspections of urban infrastructure, utility detection, archaeological investigations and pavement assessment. Battery life: up to 9 hours in single-channel mode.

CO1760 — 170 + 600 MHz

The versatile mid-range model (9.5 kg, 695 × 445 × 205 mm), combining depth penetration and high resolution within the same acquisition. Designed for road and bridge inspections, geological surveys and applications requiring maximum operational flexibility. Time window: up to 1050 ns on the low-frequency channel.

CO730 — 70 + 300 MHz

The low-frequency model (20.2 kg, 960 × 760 × 270 mm), specifically developed for maximum depth penetration. Recommended for deep geological investigations, mineral exploration, snow and ice surveys, and environmental studies. Time window: up to 2500 ns on the low-frequency channel.

  • All CrossOver models share the same advanced operating specifications:
  • More than 800 scans per second
  • Survey speeds exceeding 130 km/h with 5 cm data resolution
  • Integrated GPS (internal DGPS + external NMEA 0183 support)
  • Operating temperature from −20°C to +50°C
  • CE, FCC and IC certifications

Wireless, Rugged and Ready for Field Operations

The systems are operated wirelessly through the ViewPoint application running on Android tablets (Samsung Galaxy Tab Active Pro recommended). Collected data can be processed using CrossPoint software for Windows, offering advanced filtering, interpretation, anomaly marking and export to CAD and GIS platforms.

Operational configurations are highly flexible: each model can be used with the ergonomic Pulling Kit or the foldable Push Cart. The CO4080 and CO1760 are available with dedicated carts ready for external RTK GPS and Total Station integration, while the CO730 is supplied in a pulling configuration.
